APCG Notable Scholarship

The APCG is dedicated to promoting and recognizing high quality and cutting-edge research on African Politics.

Every year the APCG gives out awards for the best book and best article in the study of African politics. Our article committees review between 50-100 articles per year to select the winner. The book committees choose between 15-30 manuscripts on African politics that are published annually.

We include the winners of the awards and those who made it to the “short lists” of the award committees. We are happy to highlight these as some of the more notable and recommended scholarship produced by the Africanist community over the past few years.
